Steps to Apply for Financial Aid
Bushnell University’s Financial Aid Office is here to help you apply for and receive the best financial aid package available to you.
To start your application:
- Fill out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.ed.gov using Bushnell University ‘s school code 003208.
- Once completed, apply for admission to Bushnell University.
- Get accepted and our Financial Aid Office will help you make corrections to your FAFSA, and help you submit applications for any scholarships you may be eligible to receive.

Financial Aid Disbursement & Credit Balances
Financial aid is disbursed to student accounts after the last day to add or drop a course (usually one to two weeks into the semester) and all eligibility requirements for the award have been met. Scheduled disbursement dates can be viewed in the Financial Aid Portal under the Disbursements tab. Generally, things that can prevent a disbursement from occurring are an invalid FAFSA, missing documents, verification not complete, or inadequate enrollment. Missing documents required for disbursement can also be viewed online in the Financial Aid Portal under the Documents tab. In general, the first disbursement occurs 7-14 days into the semester and every week thereafter.
When the disbursed financial aid and/or payments made on a student account total more than the billed cost, the additional amount will be refunded to eligible students. The Business Office processes and mails refund checks to students each Friday within 14 days of his/her funds posting and a credit balance being generated on the student’s account.
